Since 1983, the Heritage Society has used the funds raised during its annual Candlelight Tour to accomplish a variety of preservation tasks in our area.  Some of these include projects or donations to the following:

1. Relocation and renovation of the log cabin located immediately South of the double log cabin at Holland's Lake Park (cabin)
2. The Second Ward school house relocation and renovation at Soldier's Spring Park (it was burned to the ground by vandals)
3. At the Parker County Courthouse: 1) refurbishment of the NE first floor meeting room; 2) refurbishment of the NW second floor law library; 3) purchase and installation of the wrought iron work atop the Courthouse; (iron decor) 4) cleaning the limestone exterior, 5) $5,000. in 2013 for Courthouse Christmas lights.

4.  Trees and shrubs on the Square around the Courthouse (with Grace Cartwright)
5. Restoration of the caboose located next to the Chamber of Commerce (caboose)
6. Restoration of Greenwood Memorial Chapel on Greenwood Cut-off Road
7. City Greenwood Cemetery:  1) tombstone cleaning and restorations (restoration); 2) lighting; 3) fencing (entrance gate); 4) tree trimming, undergrowth removal
8. 1888 Parker County map restoration (the original map is location at the Land Office on the Capitol grounds, Austin, TX) (map)
9. Doss Heritage and Culture Center (monetary donations, donation of display cases)
10. Chandor Gardens (Dragon Fountain, Vincent's Gates restoration (detail) and Bradford commemoration plaque (plaque)
11. B-29 memorial plaque (located in front of the Weatherford Public Library) (dedication plaque)
12. Texas Pythian Home (Home)
13. Weatherford Public Library Genealogy Room (ancestory search software and fire proof file cabinets and Historical books on Weatherford)
14. Weatherford Public Library Heritage Gallery (showcases)
15. University of Texas at Arlington Special Collections (for historic Texas map purchase and restoration)
16. Parker County Committee on Aging: for future Senior Citizens Center.
17. Storybook Summer (purchase student summer reading materials)
