The 2026 Candlelight Tour of Homes presented by The Parker County Heritage Society offers Weatherford homeowners a rare opportunity to showcase the beauty, craftsmanship, and stories that make our historic homes treasures of Texas heritage. As America’s 250th Anniversary celebration draws to a close, your home can help tell the story of the people, traditions, and architecture that shaped our community and our nation.

By participating, you are not simply decorating for the holidays — you are preserving history, inspiring visitors, and creating a magical day filled with memories, music, and hometown pride. Guests from across Parker County and beyond will experience the warmth and charm of Weatherford’s historic neighborhoods while celebrating the spirit of Christmas and America’s enduring legacy.

Be part of an unforgettable finale to America’s 250th Anniversary celebration — one historic home, and one timeless story at a time.

Comte Paul de Bresson Stable

Bresson Stable

The Comte Paul de Bresson Stable is a Rare Glimpse of French Heritage in North Texas.  Built in the late 19th century probably by French stone masons who crafted the iconic Parker County Courthouse and United Methodist Church, this stable is the last remaining example of French country architecture in our region.  It's stone walls and elegant design uniquely testify to Parker County's international roots and remind us that our area was a crossroads for global commerce and culture even in its early years.

You can help preserve this fascinating part of Parker County history by donating right now through the QR code, or by mail to de Bresson PCHS fund, PO Box 97, Weatherford, TX  76086

Thank you.
